pictures on public walls?Have you ever spat in a public place?Have you ever

protect our environment。

It is our duty to keep our envionment clean and tidy。 You might ask

yourlf，"Have I ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a

dustbin?Have I

ever collected waste paper or bottles for recycling?Have I ever planted

any

trees or flowers in or near my neighbourhood?"If your answers are"Yes"，it means

that you have already done something uful to improve the environment。

In my 18 years of life， there have been many things. University days

are

the best part of them. I can never forget the days when I stepped into my

university. I was impresd by its garden-like campus， its enthusiastic

students

and especially its learning atmosphere. I at once fell in love with it.

After the arduous military training， I get absolutely absorbed in my

studies. The class given by the teachers are excellent. They provide us

with

information not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well.

They easily arou my insatiable desire to take in as much as I can.

Frankly speaking， at first I had some difficulty following the

teachers.

However， through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance， I

made

remarkable progress. Now I've benefited a lot from lectures and many other

academic reports.

Learning is a long process; I'll keep exploring in the treasure hou

of

knowledge to enrich mylf. I also realize that only tho who bring

happiness

for others can be truly happy. So I often take part in activities concerning

public welfare.

Besides study and social practice， there are entertainments as well.

I do

body building every day， hoping to keep healthy and energetic.

Campus life is the most splendid time. But different people have

different

choices. The majority of students cherish their beautiful ason and

cherish the

hope that one day they'll become outstanding. But there are indeed some

students

still under ignorance. They gather together for eating， drinking or

playing

cards. They're busy in arching for a girlfriend or a boyfriend. They

forget

completely about their mission as college students and the hope of their

motherland.

English。 My topic of conversation is that I love English。

As everyone knows，English is very important today。It has been ud

international trade。 If we can speak English。well，we will have more chance

succeed。Becau more and more people have taken notice of it，the number

people who go to learn English has incread at a high speed。

But for mylf，I learn English not only becau of its importance and

different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world。When I

from reading the translation。When I speak English， I can feel the confident

I love English，it gives me a colorful dream。I hope I can travel around

world one day。 With my good English， I can make friends with many people

English spoken people，I hope that they can love our country like us。

I know， Rome was not built in a day。 I believe that after continuous

mylf briefly by three aspects: Strength; Weakness and Achievements!

Strength:

I feel that my strongest ast is my ability to stick to things to get

General Introduction

I am a third year master major in automation at __ University， P。

R。 China。With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering， I am writing

to apply for

acceptance into your Ph。D。 graduate program。

Education background

At the period of my graduate study， my overall GPA(3。774。0) ranked

top 5%

in the department。 In the cond mester， I became teacher assistant

that is

given to talented and matured students only。 This year， I won the Acer

Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department， which is the

ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university。Prently， I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor

of

Excellent Graduation Thesis。

Rearch experience and academic activity

When a sophomore， I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began

to

narrow down my interest for my future rearch。 With the tool of OpenGL

and

Matlab， I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling

system。 It

is now widely ud by different rearch groups in NUST。 I assumed and

fulfilled

a wage analysis & dispo project for Nanjing wage treatment plant。

This

was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a mercial product。

In retrospect， I find mylf standing on a solid basis in both theory

and

experience， which has prepared me for the Ph。D。 program。 My future

rearch

interests include: Network Scheduling Problem， Heuristic Algorithm

rearch

(especially in GA and Neural network)， Supply chain network rearch，

Hybrid

system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining。
