禁止，不準某人做某事

He forbade them from mentioning the subject again.

他不準他們再提到這個問題。

2. forbid+名詞（代詞、動名詞，不能直接接動詞不定式，但是被動語

態是可以接不定式的）

Her father forbade the marriage.
