不知道什么原因，當下時興的「vlog」今天突然接連登上了微博熱搜榜單。

還不知道「vlog」是什么的同學，我們先來看看相關(guān)的定義。

A video blog or video log, usually shortened to vlog /vl?ɡ/, is a form of blog for which the medium is video, and is a form of web television.Vlog entries often combine embedded video (or a video link) with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts. Vlog category is popular on the video-sharing platform YouTube.

Wikipedia的介紹中指出，vlog可以看成是video和blog或者video和log的合成詞（前者的說法更多），意思是“視頻博客”或者是“視頻日志”。

當然，vlog除了用作名詞，也可以作為動詞，即表示“拍vlog”，那么拍vlog的人就稱為vlogger。

one take

其中in one take 一鏡到底，take表示一個電影場景、一個動作、一首歌曲等的“一次拍攝；一次錄制”（an occasion when a film scene, song, action etc is recorded）舉個：

We had to do six takes for this particular scene.

這一個鏡頭我們不得不拍了六次。

cut

cut應該都比較熟悉了，所謂的“剪視頻”，表示“剪輯（影片）”（to put the parts of a film together so that they make a continuous story, and get rid of the parts you do not want）

順便補充，cut的幾個常見又不那么熟悉的用法：

1）拍電視電影中，經(jīng)常聽到的導演口令：Cut!表示“停！”（Cut! spoken said by the director of a film to tell people to stop acting, filming etc）

2）另外，我們經(jīng)常在電腦上的剪切、復制、粘貼等操作中的“剪切”英文就是cut，解釋為“to remove something from a document or file on a computer”，舉個：

To cut text, press Control + X.

要剪切文本可按控制鍵加X鍵。

當然，復制用的就是copy，粘貼則是paste。

3）cut corners表示“（做事）圖省事，貪便宜，取捷徑”（to do something in the easiest, cheapest, or fastest way），舉個：

There's a temptation to cut corners when you're pushed for time, but it's not worth it.

時間緊迫時你會很想走捷徑，但這么做并不值得。

接著再來看vlog的其它定義，劍橋詞典（Cambridge Dictionary）給出的釋義為：a video blog: a record of your thoughts, opinions, or experiences that you film and publish on the internet. 視頻博客，就是對日常的思考、觀點、經(jīng)歷或者體驗的記錄。

柯林斯詞典（Collins Dictionary）的釋義：A vlog is a t of videos that someone regularly posts on the internet in which they record their thoughts or experiences or talk about a subject.

牛津詞典（Oxford Dictionary）的釋義：A personal website or social media account where a person regularly posts short videos. 牛津詞典中還提到，vlog的起源于21世紀初。Origin：Early 21st century: blend of video and blog.

blend

此處表示“混合詞（用另外兩個詞的首尾連接而成的）”，英文解釋為“a word formed by joining together the beginning and the end of two other words”舉個：

"Brunch" is a blend of "breakfast" and "lunch".

“早午餐”是“早餐”與“午餐”的混合詞。

此外，blend也可以表示不同事物的“融合，結(jié)合”（a mixture of different things that combine together well），如：a blend of youth and experience 年輕而且有經(jīng)驗。

vlog主題豐富，通常為作者個人生活日常小事的記錄。SixthTone曾對B站的vlog標題做了數(shù)據(jù)分析，發(fā)現(xiàn)vlogger發(fā)布的視頻中，最常見的主題有：Routine、Me以及Life。
