【英語學習】基數詞和序數詞

基數詞

英語中數詞主要分為基數詞和序數詞兩類。所謂基數，在數學上

的理解是可以比較大小的數字。英語中的基數詞是用于描述事物數量

的多少。所以，基數詞的定義為：描述事物數量的多少的數詞稱為基

數詞。

口訣

基數詞記憶口訣

基數詞很容易，

0至12詞各異，單獨記。

13至19，以teen結尾不要丟；

20至90，整十后面有個ty；

幾十幾，也容易：

先說幾十，再說幾，中間短杠“-”加上去。

hundred是一百，

百內數字記心懷。

幾百幾，挺容易：

先說幾百，再說幾，中間and加上去。

thousand是一千，

千內數字記心間。

形式

基數詞 ： 表示數目的詞稱為基數詞。其形式如下：

（1）從1——10 one，two，three，four，five，six，ven，

eight，nine，ten．

（2）從 11——19 eleven，twelve， thirteen， fourteen，

fifteen， sixteen， venteen，eighteen， nineteen．

這里除 eleven， twelve， thirteen， fifteen， eighteen為特

殊形式外，fourteen，sixteen，venteen，nineteen都是由其個位

數形式后添加后綴-teen構成。

（3）從 20——99 整數幾十中除twenty，thirty, forty，fifty，

eighty為特殊形式外，sixty，venty，ninety都是其個位數形式后

添加后綴-ty構成。表示幾十幾時，在幾十和個位基數詞形式之間添加

連字符“-” 21 twenty-one 76 venty-six

（4）百位數個數基數詞形式加“hundred”，表示幾百，在幾十

幾與百位間加上and．

（5）千位數以上 從數字的右端向左端數起，每三位數加一個逗

號“，”。從右開始，第一個“，”前的數字后添加 thousand，第

二個“，”前面的數字后添加 million，第三個“，”前的數字后添

加 billion。然后一節一節分別表示，兩個逗號之間最大的數為百位數

形式。

（6）基數詞在表示確切的數字時，不能使用百、千、百萬、十億

的復數形式；但是，當基數詞表示不確切數字，如成百、成千上萬，

三三兩兩時，基數詞則以復數形式出現。

There are hundreds of people in the hall． 大廳里有數以百計

的人。

Thousands and thousands of people come to visit the Mu

um of Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors and Hors every day． 每天有成

千上萬的人來參觀秦兵馬俑博物館。

復數形式

有時兩個復數形式的基數詞連用可寫

為： hundreds of thousands of , tens of hundreds of 等等。

They went to the theatre in twos and threes． 他們三三兩兩

地來到了劇院。

（7）．表示人的不確切歲數或年代，用幾十的復數形式表示。

He became a professor in his thirties． 他三十多歲時成為了

教授。

She died of lung cancer in forties． 她四十來歲時死于肺癌。

It was in the 1960s． 那是在二十世紀六十年代。

句法功能

基數詞在句中可作主語、賓語、定語、表語、同位語。

基數詞主要表示事物或人物的個數。

The two happily opened the box． 兩個人高興地打開了盒子。

（作主語）

I need three altogether． 我總共需要三個。（作賓語）

Four students are playing volleyball outside． 四個學生在外

面打排球。（作定語）

We are sixteen． 我們是16個人。（作表語）

They three tried to finish the task before sunt． 他們三個

人盡力想在日落前完成任務。（作同位語）

(9)表示分數時分子用基數詞，分母用序數詞：

1/3 one-third（三分之一） , 3/4 three-fourths（四分之三） ,

3/37 three and three-venths（三十七分之三）

：one(一)，two(二)，ten(十)，twenty(二十)，one hundred(一

百)，two thousand(兩千)，ten million(一千萬)，three billion(三十

億)等

總而言之，多數位的基數詞寫法為：幾十幾用“-”連接，有專有

單位數與無專有單位數有“and”連接，間零可用“and'連接。

例句

1. What'sfifteen and five? It's twenty

2. What's venty andthirty?It's one hundred.

序數詞

序數詞是數詞的一種，主要在英語語法中講到，在漢語中表示為

“第幾”。此外，在生日中，描述你出生的日期時，也會用到序數詞。

比如：May-first （5月1日）

定義

英語上數詞分為兩大類：基數詞和序數詞。

序數詞是指表示順序的數詞

記憶口訣

基變序，有規律，詞尾加上“th”。

一,二,三（first、cond、third）特殊記；

從4開始上th；5變ve改f（fifth）,8去t（eighth）,9減e

（ninth）；

幾十尾巴ty變tie，后面跟上th（twentieth）；

幾十幾，頭不變，尾巴變，中間記得加個杠（twenty-fourth）；

遇到特殊要除外（twenty-first）；

多位序詞：

由基數詞的形式變結尾部分為序數詞形式來表示。

one hundred and twenty-first 第一百二十一

one thousand three hundred and twentieth 第一千三百二十

two hundred and fifty-cond 第二百五十二

縮寫

有時，序數詞可以用縮寫形式來表示。主要縮寫形式有：

first——1st

cond——2nd

third——3rd

其中1st，2nd，3rd為特殊形式，其它的都是阿拉伯數字后加th。

句法功能

序數詞在句中可作主語、賓語、定語和表語。

The cond is what I really need． 第二個是我真正需要的。

（作主語）

He choos the cond． 他挑選了第二個。（作賓語）

We are to carry out the first plan． 我們將執行第一個計劃。

（作定語）

She is the cond in our class．在我們班她是第二名。（作表

語）

注：序數詞在使用時，通常前面要加定冠詞the；但是如果序數詞

前出現不定冠詞a或an時，則表示“再......”，“又......”。

We'll go over it a cond time． 我們再念第二遍。

We've tried it three times．Must we try it a fourth time? 我

們已經試過三遍了，還必須再試一次（第四次）嗎？

不用the的情況

在英語中，使用序數詞時前面要加定冠詞 the，但是，在下面的

情況下則不加 the：

1．當序數詞前有形容詞性物主代詞或名詞所有格修飾時，序數詞

前不用 the。

Mother was my first teacher in my life.媽媽是我生命中的第一

個老師。

Tom is Lily's third boyfriend. 湯姆是莉莉的第三個男朋友。

2．當表達分數時，序數詞前不用 the。

One fifth of the students here are from the country. 這兒1/5

的學生來自農村。

Three fourths of the students here are from the country. 這

兒的3/4的學生來自農村。

3．當表達“又一，再一”時，序數詞前不用 the，但可加不定冠

詞。

Plea give me a cond chance. 請再給我一次機會。

The poor woman had a third baby. 那個可憐的婦女又生了第

三個寶寶。

4．當表達“年月日”時，序數詞前不用

the。

He was born on June 6th, 1974. 他出生在1974年6月6日。

5．當序數詞在句中作狀語時，序數詞前不用 the。

Who got there cond? 誰第二個到那兒的？

I finished the work first. 我最先完成那項工作。

6. 當表達考試（賽跑等）中獲得的名次時，序數詞前不用 the。

She stands first in her class. 她在班上成績排名第一。

示某人的多少歲 生日時，序數詞前不加the。

Mary's twelfth birthday.瑪麗的十二歲生日。
