1 fell downstairs，從樓梯上摔下來(lái)。

downstairs是副詞，修飾fell，作狀語(yǔ)。

2 Try and stand up.試著站起來(lái)。在英語(yǔ)中，常用and把兩個(gè)動(dòng)詞連接在一起，如第13課的come upstairs and e it.這種句子往往用來(lái)鼓勵(lì)某種動(dòng)作。

3 Here在這里是感慨詞，意思是“來(lái)〞或“喂〞，引起別人注意。

4 Let me help you.讓我來(lái)幫你。其中l(wèi)et有“允許〞的意思。注意在let后面要加不帶to的動(dòng)詞不定式。

5 The doctor says that he will come at once.

在英文中如果要把某人所說(shuō)的話告訴另一個(gè)人，要用間接引語(yǔ)。間接引語(yǔ)不用引號(hào)。往往在引語(yǔ)前加that等引導(dǎo)詞。

這一短語(yǔ)還可表示“起床〞。

2．be afraid that,想，恐怕；be sure that, 想，認(rèn)為。

這兩個(gè)結(jié)構(gòu)后面通常接從句，在口語(yǔ)中有時(shí)that可省略。

1．賓語(yǔ)從句〔1〕

賓語(yǔ)從句在句中作賓語(yǔ)，一般用that引導(dǎo)，但在口語(yǔ)中經(jīng)常省略掉 that.

可用在 say, think, believe, hope, know, understand, suppo 等動(dòng)詞之后：

She says that she is cold.

她說(shuō)她冷。

他認(rèn)為他需要拍個(gè)X片。

I know that I can repair this car.

我知道我能修理這部車。

They believe that they will have more money.

可用在某些描寫感情的形容詞之后，如 afraid, sure, sorry,glad等：

I am sure that you need an X-ray.

我覺(jué)得你需要拍個(gè)X片。

I am sorry that you are ill.

聽(tīng)到你生病了我很難過(guò)。

2．間接引述時(shí)的時(shí)態(tài)

如果間接引語(yǔ)中的引述動(dòng)詞是現(xiàn)在時(shí)，那么其后的時(shí)態(tài)通常與原來(lái)口頭陳述句的時(shí)態(tài)相同。轉(zhuǎn)述剛剛說(shuō)完的話時(shí)通常皆如此。

〔1〕滑倒：

She slipped and fell down on the wet stones.

The soap slipped out of her hand.

〔3〕下滑；下跌：

Profits continue to slip this year.

2．hurt v.
