A:Where are you going to play this weekend?

A:這個周末你打算去哪兒玩?

B:I have not given it much thought. Do you have any good sugges-tions?

B:還沒想好，你有什么好建議?

A:I want to spend two days in the mountains with city is too

noisy. Do you know Tanzhe Temple?

A:我和朋友想去山里玩兩天，城里太鬧騰了。知道潭拓寺嗎?

A:沒問題，寺里很大。

A:Wow !What a beautiful scenic spot. It's so open. And just breathe that

fresh air,you can almost taste its freshness.

A:哇!多么漂亮的觀光勝地，這么冀廣。只要呼吸一下這兒的空氣，幾乎就能嘗到它的薪鮮味道。

B:You can have a bird view of Cuilin City from the top of the mountain .

B:你從山頂可以俯瞰桂林城。

A:Wonderful!I'II often come here for mountain climbing.

A:太棒了!以后我要經常來這兒爬山。

B:You should. Many Guiliners ,especially the old and the young, wiIJ climb

mountains here in the moming.

B:你應該來。每天早上這都有很多桂林人來爬山，尤其是老人和年輕人。

A:No wonder people the immortals would rather be Guiliners.

A:難怪人們說：寧做桂林人，不做神仙。

B:...Quick ! Pass me your binoculars. Look at I've never en

A:I didn't know you Iiked bird watching.

A:我以前不知道你喜歡觀察鳥。 B:I don't really.I just like wildlife ,and you don't get to e too much

of it in the city. This place is full of it.

B:也不盡然，我只是喜歡野生動物，在城市里你根本沒機會看到它們，而這里競有這么多。

A:Are you interested in mountaineering?

A:你喜歡登山運動嗎?

B:Yes,in some n. I should say I like mountain climbing,you

know,becau I'm not so professional. How about you?

B:是的，從某種意義上來說。我應該說我喜歡爬山，因為我沒有這么專業。你呢?

A:I'm the same with you, an amateur mountain climber. I went climbing in

the Rocky Mountains with my fniends last summer vacation. We spent two days in

the mountains.

A:我和你一樣，也是一個業余登山愛好者。去年暑假我和朋友去登了落基山脈，我們在那度住了兩天。

B:How did you spend the night there?

B:你們晚上怎么過的?

A:We pitched a tent in the night, waiting for the sunri. Wow!It was too

beautiful.

A:我們搭了一個帳篷，在帳篷里等待日出。哇!那真是太美了!

B:I had a similar experience, but that was on the top of Taishan Mountain

in my country.

B:我也有過這種經歷，不過是在我國的泰山頂上。

A:Taishan Mountain? It's very famous in China,isn't?

A:泰山?在中國很有名的，對嗎?

B:Yes. It is one of the Five Mountains.

B:是的，泰山是五岳之一。

A:I want to climb Taishan Mountain this summer vacation. Would you be my

guide? A:我想去登泰山，你能做我的向導嗎?

B:I'd love to.

B:很樂意。

A:...Okay. This trail looks the best. It's a little steep. But I'm sure it

will be alright.

A:……這條小徑看起來最好，有點陡峭，但我想應該沒什么問題。

B:Well. You're the tour guide , I'll follow you_

B:你是向導，我會跟你走……

A:...What a stink. This place a stinks like rotten eggs.

B:That's sulphur you can smell. The whole of Taiwan is a volcanic
