名詞單數(shù)變復數(shù)變化規(guī)則：

一．可數(shù)名詞

1．一般名詞復數(shù)是在名詞后面加上“s”，如map→maps， bag→bags，book-books等；

2．以s，*，sh，ch結尾的詞加“es”，如bus→bus， watch→watches, bo*-bo*es等；

3．以f或fe結尾的名詞變復數(shù)時,去掉f，fe加ves的名詞有： half→halves knife→knives leaf→leaves wolf→wolves wife→wives life→lives thief→thieves

4．以o 結尾的名詞變復數(shù)時：

a）加s的名詞有（無生命）：photo→photos ，piano→pianos， radio→radios

b）加es的名詞有（有生命）： potato→potatoes tomato→tomatoes

5．以輔音字母＋y結尾的詞，變y為i加es，如baby→babies, family-families,

study-studies等；

以元音字母＋ y結尾的名詞變復數(shù)時，直接加s變復數(shù)，如monkey→monkeys， holiday→holidays， storey→storeys（樓層）；

6. oo變ee的單詞：foot-feet, goo-gee,tooth-teeth；

7. a變e的單詞： man-men, woman-women, policeman-policemen;

8. 復數(shù)與原形一致的單詞：fish-fish, sheep-sheep, deer-deer, Chine-Chine,

Japane-Japane;

注：指“魚肉”時，是不可數(shù)名詞；指“魚的多少”時，是可數(shù)名詞，但單數(shù)和復數(shù)同行；There are many fish in the river。強調魚的“種類“時，復數(shù)是“fishes”。There are many kinds of fishes in the river。

9. 有些名詞以-s結尾，但表達的是單數(shù)意義，例如：news，maths，politics，physics，the United States等。

10. 常以復數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)的名詞，例如：glass，trours，shoes，gloves，socks等，要表達他們的量時常用pair，例如：a pair of glass/shoes; 復數(shù)只需量詞變復數(shù)，例如：two pairs of shoes

11. 名詞作定語時，不用復數(shù)形式，如：a shoe shop。如果要表示復數(shù)，則去掉不定冠詞，把名詞詞組中的最后一個名詞變成復數(shù)形式，如：an apple

tree---apple trees

例外：man，woman作定語時，如果后面的名詞是復數(shù)，則man，woman也要跟著變復數(shù)。如：a woman teacher----three women teachers

常見的不可數(shù)名詞：

Food, meat, fish, chicken, beef, drink, milk, water, homework, news, information,

fun, work, Chine, English, music等

二．名詞所有格

（一）表示有生命的名詞所有格

1. 在單數(shù)名詞后加---’s，如：the teacher’ s office

2. 以-s結尾的復數(shù)名詞后加“’”如：the teachers’ s office

3. 不以-s結尾的名詞復數(shù)后加“’s”，如：the Children’s Palace

4. 用and連接兩個并列的單數(shù)名詞表示共有時，只需在后一個并列名詞詞尾加“’s”；如果不是，則需在各個并列名詞后分別加“’s”。如：John and Mary’ s hou,

John’ s and Mary’ s hou

（二）表示無生命的名詞所有格

（三）雙重所有格

將’s與of 結合一起使用構成雙重所有格，

例如：

a friend of my father’s 我父親的一位朋友

a photo of mine 我的一*照片
