the bathroom. But what about some other people? If it happens a few times a week, there may be a
troublesome reason. And it can be called insomnia(失眠).
②You may wake up, look at the clock and worry about your work. There may be stressful

Jessica Long, was the youngest athlete to win a Paralympics(殘奧會) medal. But her path to
becoming a champion has been anything but easy.
Jessica was born in Russia with a vere dia-fibular hemimelia(腓側半肢畸形). Becau
of that, her young mother placed her in a Russian orphanage(孤兒院).
Luckily, she was adopted by an American family when she was 13 months old. She required
25 different operations to help her leg condition. But unluckily, both of her legs had to be removed

I worked at a pet hospital almost fifty years ago. As an animal lover, I accepted the position
but refud to assist with any wounded animals. One day, we were closing the office when a young
man ran up to us holding a riously injured Doberman pinscher puppy(杜賓幼犬) in his arms and
begging us to save his life. The puppy had been hit by a car.
The doctor and I ran back into the operating room. The only place the skin was still attached

A year later, I was busy working in the pet hospital. Suddenly, a huge Doberman who had been
standing quietly with his owner broke loo and ran toward me. The dog stood on his hind legs with
his front paws on my shoulders, washing my face with joyful kiss!
I still tear up in amazement at the display of love the dog had for me that day all tho years
ago.
