Chinahas a very long and brilliant history who people are so
friendly and hospitable. But I am wondering why some people pay such little
attention to the environment and nature. In many places of the countryside
rivers have become stinking wers and brooks have disappeared. Heaps of
garbage obstructs the scarce flow of dirty water. The grounds are littered
with plastic bottles and bags. People are cutting down trees even though
it is illegal. In some towns rubbish is hidden behind walls. Garbage cans
are often of little u making cleaners must rush all day long and also
by night to clean the rubbish.
This lack of consideration for nature in general is extremely
detrimental to children’s education toChina’s image to public health
to tourism and to the s the common treasure of all Chine
and we should live up to be a member of this big family a descendant of
5000-year-plus ancient civilized country. I think the environment must
absolutely be strictly protected by all means. This protection should go
at the same pace as the marvelous development of the nation.
In this respectGermanyis a rare model and leaves me a very deep
impression. After you have an exciting tour around in this country for
a week or so it is unnecessary for you to polish your leather shoes.
Personally first of all the strong awareness of people’s environmental
protection; then the advanced technology applied in the field of
prerving the nature; We can learn form others in building China into
one of the most environmentally friendly places in the world.

3分鐘英語演講稿范文:自信心的重要性
The Importance of confidence
Whatever one does, one should do it with confidence. If one has no
confidence, there is little possibility that one would ever achieve
anything, especially when one is faced with drawbacks or hardships. This
truth ems to be evident. However, in reality we do e a lot of people
who complain that they like the ability to do something or that their
difficulties are too great to be overcome. For someone, this might be true.
But for many others, this only shows that they have lost heart.
Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of
doing something? There are, among others, two main reasons. First, the
people do have a correct estimate of themlves. Second, they overestimate
the difficulties.
It is possible to build up faith in onelf by having the right
attitude towards one’s abilities. We should never underestimate one’s abilities. But believe in the proverb: “Where there is a will, there
is a way.” Confidence is the promi for fulfilling a task successfully.

English speech
Good afternoon everybody! It's my honor to speak here and I am very
glad to share my topic with all of you. Today I'd like to talk about “my
dream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are:
a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.
I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. They
are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! How
do they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice
themlves; even in their old age they still make food for themlves!
I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remain
humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common,
but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do not
want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running
around in my hou”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life just
as they have.
Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my
birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore.
I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight
so much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They
do! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want them
to live a happy life as well.
I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to e the beauty
of our country. I want to e the miracles that made this country great!
I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to
the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and e my country
with my family and friends! If that is not possible, eing my country

on my own is good enough also.
If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take
me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous
life.
Thank you everyone for listening to my dreams.
I thank you!

Honorable Judges, fellow students:
Good afternoon!
Recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. The college students
are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional
education at extraordinary places. But will we be able to face the
challenge and support ourlves against all odds? Will we be able to better
the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of
building the future of our country?
The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation,
which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong.
The college students I e are eagerly learning about how to live
independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and
bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.
The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect
the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We
care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and
we ek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood
type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer
from blood cancer.

As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point
in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each
will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I
believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced
and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and
faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are
preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to u the
education we have received to make our world a better place. I believe
in our future.

WE AND OUR YELLOW RIVER: THRIVING TOGETHER
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The issue of the Yellow River
has become the biggest concern of members of the Chine peoples Political
Consultative Conference. My childhood, in fact, is cloly associated
with the river. My father is an engineering geologist, and he ud to take
me with him on his trips to the hydropower stations on the river. I enjoyed
tho trips, especially the trip to Longyang Xia rervoir. Although ten
years have pasd since my visit, I can still recall the scenery; I can
still recall the water I saw at the rervoir. It was pure, clean and blue,
not like the water I saw in the middle reaches of the river, which had
turned brown and muddy after passing through the Loess Plateau.
Once during our stay at the power station, we were caught in a
thunderstorm. And when rain stopped, I could e trickles of water rolling
down mountain slopes and flowing into the rervoir. It carried little
mud or sand, becau at that time, trees and grass still grew around the
rervoir. And they protected the soil. At Longyang Xia I was struck by
the beauty of nature, and as a child I wanted to stay there and to grow
6 / 11
up with our Yellow River.
Li Bai, the Tang Dynasty poet, said prais to the flowing water in
the Yellow River. He saw it as coming down from heaven and nurturing the
people along her way to the a. However, in 1997,for 330days, not a single
drop of water from the Yellow River went into the a. And droughts are
not the only punishment by nature. A friend of my father's, a university
professor, is doing rearch on the Yellow River. According to this
professor, the Yellow River will soon change its cour if we allow this
situation to continue. Becau there is no longer enough water to carry
away the silt and mud in the lower reaches of the river and the riverbed
ris higher and higher each year.
We have taken too much from nature, but given back too little in return.
And this is the cost of the unbalanced growth. If we had taken care of
the vegetation in the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, we
would still experience the river as Li Bai described it.
While the developed countries are consuming proportionally more
natural resources than the rest of the world, they've also taken some good
measures in protecting nature. And as a developing country, China can
learn from them in this aspect.
Last year, when I was visiting Australia with a group of Chine
students who had won prizes in an English Skills Test, our Australian hosts
invited us to join them for a hor-ride in the mountains. After two hours
on horback, we reached a valley, where there was a most beautiful meadow,
with flowers in all colors dotted on a huge blanket of green. When I began
to prai the beauty of nature, my friends told me that in this valley,
there ud to be a big mine and the wastewater from the mine turned
everything brown. When the mine was abandoned, people made great efforts
to restore the green vegetation. They also ud the latest biological
7 / 11
technology choosing the best grass eds suitable for the local soil. So
the beautiful meadow is a result of commitment, hard work, and new
technology.
What happened to this valley in Australia should also happen to our
Yellow River and, in fact, it is happening. I have en farmers planting
trees on mountains along the Yellow River. I have en them climb the
mountain tops with edlings on their shoulders becau they had no
machinery. I have en them pour on trees the water they had carried up
in buckets from miles down the valley. The farmers are quietly
nourishing our Yellow River, just as the river has nourished them.
And the farmers, men and women I don't know, gave me the confidence
that we and our Yellow River will grow together, and someday in the future,
we will be able to drink the clean water from our Yellow River again,
becau she is our dearest mother.
Thank you.

Learn How to Say No
We've all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing
to do and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in
return. However, we must be realistic. We can't say yes to every request.
If we did, we would fail or go crazy for sure. Sometimes we simply don't
have the time to help. In this ca, we must know how to say no politely.
When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we should
tell the truth. If we really can't do something, we should just say so.
Second, we should remember to refu requests politely. We must
communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. A true
8 / 11
friend will understand. Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no.
Sometimes refusing others is the right thing to do. It can save ourlves,
and them, a lot of trouble. In short, we cannot plea everyone all the
time. Refusing favors is a part of life.

The world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable becau
of environmental destruction. For example forest destruction results in
decrea of planting land and unpleasant weather. In addition man is faced
with problems of water pollution and air pollution.
A lot of measures have been taken. Planting trees helps improve and
beautify the environment. Besides laws concerning environmental
protection have been put into effect and achieved good results.
However the problem of environmental protection remains far from
being solved. On the one hand the environment pollution and destruction
are getting wor and wor in the modern world. On the other hand the

lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders
