閱讀的重要性the importance of reading

as the development of the world, there is more and more

entertainment for

people to kill time. reading ud to be an important

amument. but now there are less and less people fond of

reading. but there are still a large number of people stand on

the side of reading. for me, i think reading is very important.

the reasons are as following.

隨著世界的發展，越來越多娛樂供人們消磨時光。閱讀在過去常常就是一種重要的娛樂。但現在卻越來越少人喜歡閱讀了。但仍然還有很多人是喜歡看書的。對我來說，我認為閱讀是很重要的。理由如下。

first of all, reading can broaden our vision. the main way we

learn the things happen long time ago is according to the book.

people will try their best to write the things in their stage in

their way. when we read books, we have the opportunity to

learn

everything. the content in the books contains the knowledge

all over the world and every aspect. we can read the

knowledge about biography, science, technology, culture,

economic and so on from the book. it is hard not to broaden

vision from reading.

首先，閱讀可以開闊我們的視野。我們了解很久以前發生的事情的主要方式是通過閱讀。人們用他們自己的方式盡自己最大的努力寫關于他們那個年代的事情。我們看書的時候，我們才有機會了解到一切。書中的內容包含知識的方方面面。通過書籍我們可以了解到關于傳記，科學，技術，文化，經濟等方面的知識。從閱讀中，我們的視野很難不被拓寬。

condly, reading can cultivate our taste. i am sure that

reading some elegant

ntence or the beautiful things described in the book will

make us feel relax and comfortable. and we all know that the

more knowledge a person has, the

better-behaved he will be. i think this is the charming of

reading. if there are more people like reading, the world will

become more civilized.

其次，閱讀可以陶冶我們的情操。我相信閱讀一些優美的句子或者書中描述的美麗東西會使我們感到放松和舒適。我們都知道一個人擁有的知識越多，那個人就會表現得越好。我覺得這就是閱讀的魅力。如果有更多的人喜歡閱讀，這個世界會變得更加文明。

the importance mentioned above just a part of reading. it has

so many advantages that i can’t list all in a short time. it is

irreplaceable in human beings’ life.

上面所提到的重要性只是其中一部分。閱讀有很多的優點，在短時間內我都不能一一列舉我不能列舉。它在人類的生活中是不可替代的。

people often say that gold and silver are the most valuable

things in the world. but i dont think so. in my opinion, to read

books is more valuable than anything

old saying“to open a book is always helpful”clearly

shows us how good it is to read a book.

books are our friends. they introduce us different kinds of

lead us down the road to are

our teachers. they teach us truth, science, literature, and

philosophy of life, besides they increa our knowledge,

enlarge our experience, strengthen our character and do many

other things which we can not do without have to

learn as long as we live. but our life is limited, and the

knowledge is boundless. there are many things which are very

necessary to learn and there are also many which should be

avoided. books tell us what is good and what is evil. and only

books can tell the good from the bad.

therefore to read more books is the best policy for our young

students。

e-books can not replace traditional books

with the development scientific technology and the

improvement of people’s life standard, a growing number of e-books have been available for the readers. therefore, some

people hold the idea that e-books will replace traditional books

in the future, becau the former is more advantageous than

the latter, such as more convenient and less expensive.

隨著科技的發展和人們生活水平的提高，讀者可以看到越來越多的電子書。因此，有些人認為電子書在未來會取代傳統書籍，因為前者比后者更有優勢，如更方便和更便宜。

however, as far as i am concerned, e-books will not and

cannot replace traditional books. first, compared with

traditional books, we cannot get the same pleasure from

reading e-books in that e-books are easier to make our eyes to

be tired and dry when reading. cond, with concern about

copyright, there are many books are not available in digital

form, especially classics. in other words, the resource of e-books is quite limited and cannot satisfy the readers. third,

there is a function of traditional books that e-books do not

have—as a gift and a collection. i suppo that tho who love

reading would be willing to keep a printed form even though he

has read the electronic form of it.

然而，我認為電子書不會、也不能取代傳統書籍。首先，與傳統書籍相比，從電子書中我們不能獲得同樣的樂趣，因為電子書閱讀的時候更容易使我們的眼睛累，干燥。第二，因為版權問題，有許多書是沒有電子形式，尤其是一些經典著作。換句話說，電子書的資源是非常有限，無法滿足讀者。第三，傳統書籍有一個電子書沒有的功能——作為禮物或拿來收集。我想那些愛閱讀的人會愿意保存著紙質版的書，盡管他已經閱讀過電子版的了。

in a word, traditional books will continue to be the most

important form in our reading.

there is no denying that people can get a lot benefits from

reading classics.

on the one hand, it is a good way for readers to broaden their

horizon and increa their knowledge in many aspects. for

instance, they can learn the society characters by reading

classic literature novels about history or culture. on the other

hand, it also provides a chance for them to enhance their

aesthetic taste in that most of classics has a very beautiful or

unique language style and arts, which gives readers more

enjoyment and interest.

however, nowadays a large number of people, especially the

young, are

unwilling to or cannot spend their times in reading classics.

there are some reasons accounting for the phenomenon and i

would like to state two of them. for one thing, people are

distracted by other things increasingly, which can give their

more joy and fun and have no requirement in thinking, such as

all kinds of entertainment activities. for another, some people

think that it is no u of reading classics becau the

classics are outdated and uless to our society and lives.

然而，如今許多人，尤其是年輕人，不愿意或不能花時間去閱讀經典。對于這一現象有很多原因，這里我只想列出兩點。一方面，越來越多的人被由其他的東西分散了注意力，它們可以給他們更多的樂趣也不用思考，如各種娛樂活動。另一方面，有些人認為閱讀經典是沒有用的，因為這些經典著作在我們的社會和生活中已經過時了而且也沒有用。

in my opinion, it is wrong to consider classics as an outdated

matter becau it still has many important functions and

influence on our society and our lives. classics are a kind of

treasure in a nation. therefore, we should give enough

attention to them. and i advocate that all of us should try our

best to read some of them.

在我看來，把經典著作看作是過時的東西是錯誤的，因為它在我們的社會和生活中仍然有重要的作用和影響。經典是一個國家的一種財富。因此，我們應該給予足夠的重視。我認為我們都應該盡量去讀一些書。

we hold the view that in our study and life, we should u e-books more. as we know, e-books is format of books. it can be

downloaded to a computer, personal computer, notebook or

pda, read through the screen. compared with paper books,

there is a big advantage. for example, firstly, the ebook can be

obtained immediately, you can download e-book not out of the

chair in a few minutes, instead of running to the bookstore.

what’s more,e-books do not need to u trees to make paper

as a page. the most convenient is that e-books are free to

change the font, as a result, tho who have defective eyesight

would read very much easier. e-book reprents a new science

and technology, and will be more and more widely ud. we

believe that in the near future, e-books will replace paper

books and become the main tool of our life and learning.

points,however,they forget to think about very important

issues,that is which kind of book is more healthy. nowadays,

people are paying more and more attention to health issues. it

is important to realize that e-books are easy to cau damage

of our eyes and vision loss; and there are other health risks

using e-books. when

we read e-books rather than paper-books for a long time,

paper-books are more healthier to the readers.

will be bad for your eyesight to read paper-books for a long

time, becau the color of them and the design of text are not

conducive to the protection of the eyes, on the contrary, e-books can design more scientific interfaces to protect his

addition, i also want to say another problem, i think

paper books is too heavy, its not convenient to carry and e-book is very small, i can even directly into my pocket, so i

think e-books is better than paper books.

prove to you. paper books can also easy to carry for reading

anytime,when e book is out of electricity,it also cannot read.

when we are reading a real book, we can line a paragraph we

are interested in conveniently, which helps us a lot in

understanding and remembering the knowledge we need. but

when reading e-books, we have to build a new file or u a

notebook, it’s very inconvenient for that,if the book

you want to read is a obscure advanced mathematic book,so

do you still want to read it in e-book’s way?i firmly believe that

most people will choo the paper version.

but the current paper-book also can not keep the copyright as

most readers choo to buy the e-books rather than the

original books. becau the e-books is much cheaper than the

original books, and it also can provid the same knowledge as

the original one. besides the e-books is convenient, you can

take it along side ,and it is easy to spread,you can share it with

your friends easily just on line, despite the two of you did not

together which the paper-books can not.
