英語中年月日的表達方式及讀法

1、英語的日期

日期的寫法可以采用基數詞和序數詞兩種形式。例如：

March 1也可以寫成March 1st;May 29也可以寫成May 29th。但是，

日期的讀法只能用序數詞的形式。例如：

October 31(October 31st)讀作October(the)thirty-first

August 26(August 26th)讀作August(the)twenty-sixth

注意：通常情況下，the 是不讀出來的。

2、英語中的年份

關于四位數年份的讀法有下列幾種情形：

(1) 一般情況下，將表示年份的四個數字按前后分為兩組，

每一組的數字都按基數詞來讀。

1865年讀作 eighteen sixty-five

1998年讀作 nineteen ninety-eight

(2) 如果是整百的年，后面的兩個“零”讀為 hundred。

1900年讀作 nineteen hundred

1800年讀作 eighteen hundred

(3) 十位數字上為“零”，該“零”讀為字母 O 的發音。

1809年讀作 eighteen O nine

(4) 關于千年的一些讀法。

2000年讀作 two thousand

2008年讀作 two thousand and eight 或 O eight

1008年讀作 one thousand and eight 或

(5) 三位以內數字的年份，一般是按照基數詞的方法來讀。

531 BC 讀作 five hundred (and) thirty-one BC

英語年月日在朗讀和書寫方面值得注意的是：

(1) 朗讀方面

在朗讀時，"月份"一般直接用英語讀出;"日"則要讀成"the 序

數詞";年份，一 般分為兩個單位來讀， 前兩個數為一個單位， 后兩

個數為一個單位。 1982 年讀作 nineteen eighty-two, 1900 年讀作

nineteen hundred。如果是三位數，先讀第一位，再把后兩個數 合起

來讀。如：984 年可讀為 nine eighty-four,757 年讀成 ven fifty-

ven。 另外，像 2000 年一般讀成 two thousand, 2001 年則讀成

two thousand and one,以此類推，2004 年應讀成 two thousand and

four 或者 two thousand four (通常情況下“and”不讀出來)。 January

12th, 1993 讀成 January (the) twelfth, nineteen ninety-three。

(2)書寫方面 先看下面的兩個例子：

1. 1986 年 10 月 23 日→October 23, 1986/October 23rd,

1986

2. 2002 年 1 月 17 日→January 17, 2002/January 17th,

2002

3、英美時間表達之不同

日期的表示法英國和美國稍有不同，英國通常表示為“日—

月—年”，美國通常表示為“月—日—年”。如“10月10日”可表示為

October 10, 1985(美)或10(th) October, 1985(英)。

注意：最好避免把整個日期都寫成數字, 這在英美語中表示

的含義并不相同：如“2. 7. 97”、“2-7-97”、“2/7/97”這類表達，在美國

英語中表示“1997年2月7日”，而在英國英語中則表示“1997年7月

2日”。
